Global Financial markets Technology market leader is recruiting an Application Support Consultant to join its Client Services team inOxford. The Application Support Consultant will be responsible for the support of a live software system supporting more than one global financial market client. My client provides solutions for capital markets to hep banks, broker – dealers, futures commission merchants to improve the efficiency of their trading and processing.
This is a rare opportunity for a Software Support or Technical Support Consultant , with no previous experience of working with or supporting Financial Markets products, to work for a specialist global market leader in this sector.
Key skills:
• Owning and maintaining process and data structures on live servers
• Researching and replicating software and hardware issues
• Implementing solutions and owning problem / issue resolution
• General Windows resolution,
• Database configuration
• Scripting
• Analysis of business user requirements and workflow processes
• Building excellent relationships with the clients’ teams.
• Shift system is in place based on 7.5 hrs day to enable staff to support global clients but also to maintain a work life balance which is key to the success of the team. The latest shift ends at 4.30pm
Key skills as a Application Support Analyst:
• SQL server
• Multi server distributed systems
• MS Windows (Advanced level)
• Excel and Word
• Experience of network support and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Self-motivated and proactive.
