This is an exciting opportunity for an Insights Lead, passionate about geospatial technology, to develop their own role within an established, fast growth space tech scale up launching it’s first satellites this year. As the Insights Lead you will be a critical part of the success of this thriving business which uses high resolution thermal imaging and infrared tech to monitor the Earth, addressing sustainability challenges enabling businesses to reduce their carbon footprint. This is a hybrid role with a generous salary and extensive benefits.
Insights Lead Role:
Lead the design and implementation of the added-value data and analytics on top of the raw data offering, working collaboratively with the product management and imagery teams.
Use the business’ STAC imagery archive to enable product and insights discovery
Develop web services closely aligned to OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) standards
Integrating the existing CI/CD infrastructure in to the business’ software lifecycle
Understand and communicate the complexity of potential insights and solutions both within the team and to the wider company
Desirable Experience:
Backend software development (preferably in python)
Web API frameworks (such as FastAPI)
Vector/raster geospatial computing packages (rasterio and shapely)
